Just bought my first z
I just bought a 2003 z. I love it and it seems to be a great car. Luckly the car has not many miles and still has the factory warrenty. I only have the warrenty until the end of the year. The car runs great, but are there any specific things I should get checked out before the warrenty expires. Thanks
The bumper to bumper warranty is ending so check issues such as the windows not dropping properly when the doors open, little things that can break -- the inside door handles (plastic on your car metal on the '06s) -- things such as that.
Keep in mind the big issues such as engine and transmission are still covered under the 5yr 60K mile warranty so there not much to really worry about. But keep a tab on the tranny if you have a manual for abnormal grinding during shifts.
Do some searching and you'll find some common problems the Zs have but dont let those scare you. The forums make them sound more problematic and widespread then I think they really are. I have a 03 32K miles no problem yet.
Enjoy
