Question New owner: New Question

So i bought my 2005 Track back in August and have been babying it and giving it more attention then anything. (since aug i have only put 2200 miles on it)

My question is however, when i do take it out and get all silly and want to spin the tires. i rev it up a bit and let out the clutch a light comes on in my dash that i believe says "slip" then it seems as if there is no gas going to the car. I understand this is some kind of traction device but is there any way to turn this off? ...to get the burnout i am looking for?

Yes, there is a button on the dash to the left of the steering wheel.

Why does Nissan even bother giving out owner's manuals with the Zs anymore? No one seems to use them...

Yeah, heard of it, but I was trying to be nice.

Now get out there and drive your car with the TCS/VDC turned off - it's like a whole new car. As long as it's not raining, the first thing I do after starting the car is push that button! LOL

J,

sweet, i think i had hit that button a few times not knowing what it was. I tend to baby my car. Every time it goes out on the town the next day it gets a hand wash, dry, and vacuuming.

I also answered the same question yesterday. It won’t happen again.

LOL - No offense meant toward Zirginia in particular, just all the new owners who won't read their manuals. This is the first newbie thread I didn't just skip over, and it will be the last.
