Question about OEM exhaust
Just purchased my 2004 350Z (Touring package), and while the car is asthetically perfect, the previous owner didn't pay much attention to the exhaust tips. Needless to say, I had to use a wire brush, rubbing compound, and several pieces of superfine steel wool just to get them looking somewhat acceptable.
I'm sort of leery about buying an aftermarket system as I'm partial to the way the factory sounds... just curious if anyone knows of any reputable companies that sell OEM replacements.
Thanks in advance

You can find alot of OEM mufflers for sale from people who changed their exhausts...
From that said, it is very popular to change the exhaust on the 350Z...
If you want to keep the factory sound and replace the full cat back exhaust system, do the NISMO Exhaust... It is not too much louder then stock and keeps the same tone...
There are many other options available, If you just wanted to change the tips, you could do the GReddy SP2 muffler, It only changes the muffler... The tone will change, and the tips are different as well...

+2 on the exhaust as for the Nismo from my experience, pretty much like stock at ldle, mabey a bit louder and a bit deeper, but you do notice it at higher rpms and WOT
Also throttle feels more responsive. An aftermarket exhaust is a must IMO.
LOL cant wait to get my headers. But cats? how do you guys pass a smog check?

Congratulations and welcome. There are several companies who sell OEM look-a-like exhausts but the cost is prohibitive. $500 will get you shinny tailpipes but not much more.
Check the exhaust forum for suggestions.
