I cleaned it up a little so you don't completely think I am like a bag of hammers. of course it isnt perfect. I just didnt want you thinking I am that dumb.

My parents are going to pay for my z, and all I know is my parents like me to be happy. That is the bottom line of it. Allot of you guys just keep saying he is going to crash, and yes most of you guys are saying it cause you care, and then some of you guys are just jealous off you ***'s Well why should he give up a nice as car such as the z ? I mean if you guys really think that guys in our age range suck that bad at driving then what’s the point of having a car at all? All I am saying is you only have one life, Why not start it fun as fast as you can if you have the chance? Kids will be spoiled like us 17 or 16 olds no matter what you think. Doesn't mean we are brats. I no for sure I am not a brat.

My parents just got there wealth about 3 years ago. My parents were broke all the time so I do know the price of a penny. Just cause some kids parents like to see there kids happy with things that the average teen doesn't have, that’s there right. The bottom line is that people are going to do what they want regardless what you say, so you should just congratulate them while its there. I am just saying I am tired of hearing people judge guys my age and say we suck at driving, and we are brats because what are parents can provide for us, when you don't know the half of the people you are disking.

You’re just stereo typing the average teen, (Average)..... doesn't mean we all are like that cause I know one damn thing is that I am not a stupid driver, so when you see my signature starting off with " I am 17 years old" it doesn't mean judge me and hate on me cause of my age. I put it there to let you guys understand that I am young but I have allot to learn about cars and I will have question that you guys will find stupid cause allot of you guys know A **** load about cars. I am just here to hang out with guys that are experienced with cars that I can come to with questions, and fun conversations to feel welcome in a community of older guys.

I am a very nice, good hearted kid that will always like to help, so I get offended when people say I am a spoiled brat. Let me rephrase that. I am spoiled now, but not a brat. So please don't assume I am some little juvenile. That is my opinion so know one on this forum take offence to what I said, I just had to get it out, and this seemed like the thread to do it.

I dont get this ohh your 17 your GOING to wreck your Z and ur stupid you cant handle a Z i got my car when i was 18 i donno about everyone else but i've never had a problem with the car i've had it for 3 years so far never got into an accident. its not based on your age its based on your maturity if your a moron and think you are mario andretti then obviously your going to wreck it. but a 18 or 17 year old can handle any car. I do drive very spirited and second of all for the your spoiled comments if you were turning 17 and ur parents offered you a Z and you said no i dont think you should even be allowed to have a Z. Its not the kids fault his parents have money and decided to buy a nice car. plus the Z isnt outragously priced the base models go for 26k which is the same price as a nice mustang and dont tell me kids dont get mustangs for there 17th or 18th b-day.

 

I was pointing out the fact that if you want people to treat you w/ respect, its not wise to start off by putting your age in your sig. You then felt the need to retaliate with your insults. Sorry hraes, I get the money.

Im far from an old fart (im 22) and i would agree with most people here, the Z is not a "first car" for someone that young. I started on a Durango and have worked my way up. Honestly, if i had an m3 or a z as a first car, i know i would have wrecked it, and im a very responsible driver. Start off with a used car under 200 hp. You will fully appreciate later in life upgrading to a faster and more responsive car. Someone new to driving doesnt fully comprehend the dynamics of driving a car as powerful as a z.

 

Agreed! Dont get your liscence an then start looking for a fast car as your FIRST car. You will have plenty of chances later in life to buy another car. I started out with a Jeep Grand Cherokee. You have to remember, your new to driving and dont know everything about cars an how they handle

 

I donno if its just me but i was able to handle my car and am probably more capable of handling my car than most older generation drivers. I was never an immature driver trying to impress my friends. I was humbled by the shear performance of the car. Ive gone canyon running many times and have never had a problem. If you know what you're doing and what your car is capable and if you take the time to understand it then yea even a 17 year old can drive this car safely. Now for the people that say Oh man you cant handle this car at your age your just expressing how much of an immature driver you were as a kid. Not everyone is the same.
