learned alot so far.. just picked my 2003 up on the 26th
been wanting one for many moons now and I finally did it
Did the Carfax thing and inspection, looks nice at 16,000 miles....

learned about the tire feathering problem and seems like mine has it.. or the bearings on the front.. can't believe it's the bearings after 16,000 miles...
but there is a real loud grinding sound when slowing down at about 20-30 mph... can the tires make this sound??

Hey man welcome! I picked my 03 up with 21k miles about 2 months ago. The tires had feathering, went to Nissan and was covered under the 3-year recall warrantee and got 2 new tires and an alignment for free. Keeping my fingers crossed that fixed the problem 2k miles so far, and no unusual wear or road noise, which is what you are talking about. Yes it is the tires, unbelievable but it is, you will hear a roar around 15-30 mph. I love the car, and would make the same decision again.

unfortunately.... the bumper to bumper expired 2 months ago...
it's a US car and I am in Canada..
anyone think Nissan USA will still cover it?? prolly not.. dunno since I am new here.
