Traded my 492rwhp 2003 Cobra for a 2005 350Z Performance Model
I love this little car.
It was a brand New 2005 Leftover with a MSRP of $33,330.
I bought it for $27,830, a great deal.
6 speed, 18" Chrome Nissan rims, Silverstone
My last cars were below:
2005 - Nissan 350Z - Silverstone - 6 speed
2005 Yellow Vette Convertible/ Black top - auto
Magnaflow Catback - 12.57@110.67 (1.92 60')
2003 Torch Red Anniversary Cobra - SOLD
492rwhp/481rwtq SAE - 11.84@120.57 (1.85 60')
2001 Viper GTS Yellow/Black Stripes - SOLD
11.67@120.56 (1.68 60')
2003 Cobra - Yellow - 445rwhp/452rwtq SAE - SOLD
12.22@116.8 (1.93 60')
1992 Blown Mustang LX Vert - 461rwhp SAE - SOLD
11.2@124.56 (1.81 60')
Plus a 1999 WS6, and a few others.
You would think the lower hoprsepower would bother me, but so far I am loving the great handling, cool styling, and torquey V6 of the 350Z. I only miss the power after 60mph, below that it has plenty.
I get bored of cars very quickly, but I really enjoy the Z.
I have my eyes on the new Z06, but they are still a bit out of my price range.

Thanks!
The 2001 Viper GTS I bought in 7/04 with 7K miles for $52K + an extra $1700 for an extended warranty = $53,750
A C6 Z06 BASE price is $65K+
The only way I could afford a new Z06 is to get rid of both my C6 Vert and my 350Z
I would rather have TWO GREAT cars than ONE SUPERCAR.
Not to mention, there are times when my back is out where driving a stick is not an option, the C6 is an automatic and very comfortable to drive.
For $27K the 350Z is a GREAT TOY and Daily Driver.

It gets better....
I am the adminsitrator of a 03 Cobra based website with like 2000 members and I own a 350Z (traded my 03 Cobra for it) and a C6 Vette.
They still won't impeach me.
Last time when I had the 2001 Viper (traded my last 03 Cobra for that) and 1999 WS6 at least I said the Viper was still a Snake.
Seriously, I think the 350Z is the BEST handling car I have driven yet.
The Viper may have actually been better, but without VDC or any traction aids, I was afraid to push the Viper's limits, Vipers are not forgiving of driver error and will BITE hard if provoked..
The 350Z BEGS me to drive it.
It inspires the most confidence in the driver that you are in control.
The 350Z is the FIRST car I have ever driven that I actually look for single lane twisty roads to have fun.
The only way to have fun in my other cars was to prowl two lane roads looking for prey.
With the 350Z, I just enjoy spirited driving anywhere, not just looking to drag race.
Styling wise, the 350Z GIVES up nothing to any other car, except maybe a Ferrari.
Here are some pics of the 350Z, Vette, and one or two of the Viper, Cobra, and WS6:

The pics of the Viper, Cobra, and WS6 are on page 2.
Now i have to resist the URGE to Procharge the C6 and Turbo the 350Z

I remember like 1-2 years ago my buddy told me he was going to sell his Black 10th anniversary 03 Cobra for a 350Z, I was like are you nuts?
No denying the 350Z was Hotter looking, but I couldn't see going from an 11 second ride to a 13-14 second ride.
Now he has a Black G35 and I have a Silverstone Z.
NOW I UNDERSTAND!

I had an 11 second RX7 before getting my Z.
I miss the power, but love the Z's look, handling, and performance for what it is.
I still think my black 93 RX7 was the most beautiful car I have owned to date though. The Z is a close second.
Welcome to the club.

Welcome & Wow. Where do you work and are they hiring?
I love the Z.
I think if the 350Z had about 400 horsepower it would be perfect.
The power is fine from 0-60, but after that it dies off and could benefit from a little extras oomph.
I think this car screams for a turbo or supercharger, but not at the expense of reliability and driveability.

O the Z definitely screams for a turbo or supercharger...but you're exactly right. For every action there is a reaction.
Damn what I would give for one of those Vipers. I love the old styling!!

The Viper was a GREAT car, brutal acceleration, but not very comfortable.
All the pedals were cocked off to the left and the brake and accelerator were very close, until you get used to it it can be a major problem.
I sold it for the Vette after I messed my back up last July and realized the Viper was not helping things.
Funny thing is, the Viper only ran a 12.3@118.5 (1.89 60') on stock radials.
After adding Kumho Ecsta V700 autocross tires it ran a 11.67@120.56 (1.68 60').
My automatic C6 Vert ran a 12.57@110.67 on a 1.92 60' stock.
Light to light the new Vettes are pretty stout.
As far as comfort, I could drive the Vette for 4 hours straight and get out feeling better than when I first got in it.
Only problem with the Vette is the WEAK sounding STOCK exhaust, I switched to Magnaflows and they at least sound better, but not perfect.
