Default New to the Z and import world...

My wife and I picked up a grand touring 06 Z in March. It's the first Nissan/Z we've owned. In stock trim, it's not fast at all, but it handles really well and the brembos haul you down pretty fast. We love the look of this car.

Can't wait to start modding.

Welcome. I am a recent "importer" as well. I came from a long line of Camaro and Mustang battles but am quickly enjoying the import scene.

Apples to oranges. My toy car is a 02 blown C5 so there's a big diff, but some of the hp #s from the some modded Zs on here is encouraging!

Well compared to that I can see where you're coming from. Why did you ditch the C5?

Didn't get rid of the vette. I traded my 04 Is300 for it. The vette is the weekend car, but I really like the Z. It is $25 cheaper a month on my insurance too!

If you have an 06 than you have a 300 HP engine.

Yeah right, big money is happy about saving $25/month on his insurance

I have to do it in waves. That way the wife isn't really able to keep up with the total cost.

Thanks for the invite, but she is not a carclub person. She likes the car alot, in fact it will be her daily driver in a couple of years. She like to say "it's just a car" too much. She hates when other vette owners waive when we're in the vette too---I love it.
