Default Second Nissan, First one that doesn't suck :)

Hey guys, I have been stopping by this website for a long time looking at pics of Z's, but I finally got my own this past monday. It's an '03 Silverstone Enthusiast. I love that car, and have been telling all my friends I'd own one oneday since the second they came on the market. Now I finally have one and I know how you guys feel! I plan on keeping it mainly stock for a while until I can save up some money. After that, I haven't really thought of what to do yet...I'm just glad to have the car!

I got it for $23k because I know the salesman, and it only had 29k miles on it. I would prefer a newer car, but I took what I could get

Oh, by the way...I'm having issues with lag when I hit the gas. What do I need to do to fix that? Like I mentioned before, I'm not going to modify it for a while until I can save up money, so I just want it to be the best it can be for now.

The salesman you knew, ripped you off. I got my car ('05 Enthusiast) in September of last year for $25k. Sorry to tell you, but you should've searched a bit further for a used car.

Really? The blue book on my car is $25k...I'm not really worried about it, I am glad I'm out of my junky 93 altima. It was a good deal to me, so that's good enough for now.

Oh, and no, the TCS is not off.

TCS = Traction Control. The "bogging" your feeling is the engine cutting power because it's losing traction. Turn the TCS off and you'll launch like the rest of us.

Thanks for the help, that definitely made a big difference. When I asked someone else about traction control, they said that the power from the wheel that is slipping is just re-routed to the opposite wheel so that you won't slip. I didn't know that it slowed down the engine to stop the slip.
