Default A new way to shift?

I was looking at this Japanese car video, and there was a race among some Japanese cars. There was our Z , nsx, s2000, skyline, and S15, and they were all driven by professionals. Back to my question...., I saw the driver of the Z shifted WITHOUT LETTING GO OF THE GAS PEDAL, twice, (I repeat the same part a couple of times to make sure) is it possible to shift like that? I always let go of gas when I shift...What do you guys do? Try it and share with us. Thanks for your time guys

If I remember that video correctly.... the 350z driver was not that good of a driver and he was getting spanked.... so he was trying to powershift to make up for it.... and it didnt help at all.

A real professional wouldn't do that, even if his car is outclassed. It's better to finish a race in last place than to finish in the pits because you toasted your clutch or destroyed your tranny.

Don't pay too much attention to that show, it's for entertainment purposes only.

It is absolutely an entertainment show, there is no debating that.

What I meant by "real" professional driver, was "good" professional driver. Obviously they are professionals if they are making money for driving, but that doesn't automatically make them good.
