Default New to me Z

Hi everyone,

I've been lurking around here for a few weeks now and I finally found the Z for me. I picked up a Silverstone '03 Touring AT Z last week. I've been extremely happy so far. The Z is so much better than my old car! I dumped a 1990 lebaron convertible with 180k miles on her. The Z is so much fun to drive! It rides better than the lebaron and has a bigger trunk to boot!

The only downside to the Z is that I live less than a mile from work

Now I need to get some snow tires since this is my only vehicle now. At least its flat here in Indiana.

Pics?

Congrats. Yeah, take it easy in the bad weather. if you've got VDC keep it on and smooth inputs on the controls and moderate speeds will get you through to spring. Rule #1 get all your braking done before your turn in.

Default Pics

Here are some pics. They are the dealer pics cause the car needs a carwash bad after this weekend's driving, but its too cold out to wash it today. Its got aero package, aluminum kickplates and head/side airbags. Pretty much only missing nav and no vdc. I was amazed at how nice the leather looked after all it has 44k miles on it. It does have tinted windows, not sure on how dark but pretty dark maybe 15-20% or so.

Welcome Steve. Happy driving, haha, maybe you need to find a new job a lil bit further from home.

You guys in the States have different model names, so no idea what a lebaron is, but wow the Z has a bigger trunk!!

This is a lebaron, not mine, but same color. The trunk is about maybe 3 feet across 1.5 feet deep and about 1 foot wide. About .9m/.45m/.3m

Not a car we get in NZ, gee that's a tiny boot. Worked out a long time ago, if you are very careful and use a few towels or blankets or rug to protect the plastic you can drop a pretty good sized suitcase into the boot of a Z.

Thanks everyone. Yup it is one heck of an upgrade! The lebaron was great 5+ years for only $2,000, but it was definetly time for a real car.
