Fishtailed today, Howcome??
O.K. Thanks for all the good advice. So if the tires I have now are really that junky, I'll do some homework and get better ones. I'm surprised the owner before me put them on if they really are as bad as you say. And of course I'll heed the advice of all your expertise, that's why I came here in the first place.. There really was no need for all the 2nd grade responses. But if I made them laugh and have some fun it's cool.

I can remember driving in NY in the rain and during winter, even with a front-wheel drive car, it's very, very easy to loose control. All the traction control in the world won't save you from bad tires.
So take it easy and drive defensively/conservatively. Save your full-throttle driving when the road conditions are a bit better.

drift baby drift. I love it when i pull off and my Zs back just swings around. side ways for a few secs and then let off and countersteer.
And those were some real funny replies... no dobut.

I've heard good things about the BFG KDW's, but never tried them myself. Personally I'm on my 2nd set of Toyo T1-R's, it's just hard to break them loose in the dry and they instill confidnece in the rain. I, too, came from a FWD car when getting into the Z, but then again I never unintentionally lost control either
Good luck and for your sake and those in traffic around you please get some new GOOD tires.

Cajun, perhaps instead of spending time here you should be looking at anger management & self esteem classes. When one posts as nasty as you have here, it usually means lack of self worth. Idea is to belittle others so you look bigger....at least to yourself. And, believe me, you only look bigger to you.

To andee:
please take the time to use a vacant parking lot (especially when it's raining) to see what you're car can an cannot do. I had my TCS/VDC on for the first 3 months or so ... now I turn it off when the weather is good and I know I'm comfortable with how my car handles. The fact that you have an AT means your have even less control over you car ... if you don't know how the car handles (especially in slick conditions) don't push the Z to the limits.

thanks, I have all of your different advice in my head whille driving, about the car. Along w/ my drivng experience ahh, like about 20 years.! I started driving around 10. That's why it's funny that some of these guys think I can't drive. So I've had the car about 8 days and I'm still getting used to it. I will definately get better tires. And I Love it!! Great Advice from the older smart guys. I'm waitng for Nissan to get a Stereo. Mines shot. About a week, But I'm sure it'll be worth the wait.

The main thing that annoys me about you andee and why i think people are ragging on you is how you state everything. "I have (X) amount of driving years, I have drivin (X) car, I blah blah blah..." I know people with 50 years of driving and they still suck worse than some 18 year olds I see at the track. Also, I have drivin a Ford GT, doesn't mean that I drove it more than 55, or drivin it at 200+ or that I am even good at driving in general. Except you keep saying that you have drivin all thiese different cars and expect everyone to be impressed. Also, I think you got something against men, unless they are old. jk.

I Think she is just stating it because WE all assumed from the question that she was a new driver with no experience. She is just trying to re-assure us she is not.
yeah, i don't think she ever claimed to be a race-car driver. she just claimed to be a good driver with quite a few years of experience. she's admitted the advice has helped and i'm sure she'll learn her car over time.

This rear wheel stuff is new w/ the 350? I'm gonna research it. The tires I have are not stock. The guy that owned it before me put Federal"s on the front and the back tires are "mastercraft" something and I never heard of either one. I used to put Dunlop's on my Celica, Which I liked. What are like the best? How about Pirelli's??
Federal's are a les shwabe tire brand sorry about the spelling
