New Z owner: introducing myself
Hello everyone. Bought my first Z (first import actually) on Tuesday. A 2003 Enthusiast 5AT. I've owned Mustang V8s 5spds for 15 yrs and had a two year stint in a stripped '97 Dakota 5.2L stick driver (still owned a Mustang at that time). I have to say I'm impressed w/ this little motor. I traded my '01 Cobra convertible on this and, except for missing the 'vert part, I'm not missing that car yet. For an automatic this 350Z seems as quick as the Cobra (easier to launch) and I don't have that terrible wheelhop the Cobra IRS cars are famous for. Looking forward to how it does at the strip once I can find time to go.
Not planning much in the way of mods. Car has Potenza 040's all around (225/50s out back too) so a set of 245/45-255/45 BFG KDWS will be going on in a couple weeks. After that, cold air and exhaust are all I can see wanting to do.
only pic so far (phone):

Thanks everyone! Spent too many years modifying every nut and bolt I could on whatever I was driving. The Cobra I traded and this are the first I haven't messed w/ and I'm enjoying the free time. LOL

I'm already fighting that now Bronzee.
The Mustangs leave some power on the table so it's much harder to fight the mod urges. Very easy to hit 300+ rw w/ a couple bolt-on's and the Cobra just begs for 4.30 gears.
The exhaust on the Z could use a little volume but the cost vs. gains aren't enough to have me looking at anything hard yet. Cold air setup I think I could fab something for a portion of the cost of aftermarket. It's a much better balanced car overall so I'm pretty happy w/ it so far. That will wear off quick I'm sure tho.
