Just joined!!

Picked up my Z, 3mo ago. My first one. All of the things I have read here on the site seem to be positive. I do have my concers about the transmissinon on mine. From day one its seems to have a rattle at take off either from the clutch or trans. The clutch also seems to be a little rough on take off. Also something rattles from the center of car when truning the car off. (most times, not all) I have taken it back to the dealer several times. They continue to tell me this is normal for this model. Is that so? Anyone else have these problems?

And another thing.. the trans has a rather annoying hum when cruising at 84mph and above. LOL.. Yes sometime I do drive fast. Hum goes away when letting off throttle.

I have experienced that humming sound that you are referring to. I have had the car since this past March, and it only started happening a few weeks ago. I think it has to do with the freezing temps. It only seems to happen when the temps are < 35ish. It starts around 82 mph.

Congrats on the car, check out camaro194's thread on the whine, my car does it too. The Z's transmission is pretty loud/rough/clunky. I wouldnt really worry about it unless its something thats really a problem (grinding, etc).
