Drive the Z with the respect it deserves, but this does not mean you have to drive like a nana. As some of the others say, and you are asking the question, find somewhere safe to learn how to drive rwd properly so you and your Z don't end up casualities..

The 1st week I had my Z, I had to see what it could do. I went to an empty parking lot and practiced drifting and doing 360 doughnuts...WOW it was soo much fun and a hellofa adrenaline run. Mind you I traded my 2002 Eclipse GT in for the 350Z....smartest move I think I have ever made :-)
