Just bought 2006 Silverstone 350Z!
Hi!
Just bought my Z on Saturday after months of debate about waiting for the 2007's. She is a Silverstone Touring with Burnt Orange seats. Test drove her, still n the plastic wrapper, with maybe 10 miles on the OD and was hooked I was thinking of a 6 spd, but have very little manual experience...and the car was right there, plus the colors were perfect, so I went with the AT.
I think I got a good deal. Negotiated for an hour and finally agreed on about $4K below sticker. It has a bunch of options...satellite radio, etc. It's my first new car. Had, and still have, actually, a '95 Eagle Talon as my daily commuter. Nice car, but the Z has, literally, twice the HP. Funny story, we actually ran out of gas on the test drive. Salesman then proceeded to shove the tranny into park while we were still moving at about 10 mph. Heard a not so good grinding sound. Hope this doesn't become an issue. Seems ok. Glad I took the 7 year extended warranty though.
Anyway, it's been raining in NY for the past few days, but I've still put on around 150 miles. Break in period seems like it may last forever, lol. I can't wait to see what the Silverstone looks like in good, bright sunlight.
Love the sound, the feel, just about everything. Have to wait to exerience the power until 1200 miles. Still, it is very strong even keeping to the 3,000 rpm break in limit the dealer recommended. Hitting the upper ranges, will be an amazing experience.
I have to look into the clearbra for at least the bumper and lights. Anybody know of good a place in Long Island, NY where I could buy/insall?
I just registered with the forum a couple of minutes ago, so I'll post some pix when I figure out how to.
Good day all.

Man, that's a beautiful Z! I've got an '06 Silverstone also but an Enthusiast. You must have gotten a great deal ($4K below sticker)! What was your walkout price, if you don't mind me asking? I'm probably gonna cry . . . :-(
