Default Now you've gone and done it Ollie!!!!

Yes I did Stanley!

I bought a 2006 roadster in the tour package in black with an automatic! It's called Mid-life Crisis!!

I've been back and forth on this for several weeks since I test FIRST drove a used 2003 coupe (I was hooked immediately).

My wife and I stopped by the dealership Weds. so that I could let her see why this was such an addictive car. I had inteneded on buying a 2006 coupe but the dealer made me a saaamoookin deal and took $5300 off the sticker price of the car! I only wish I had a six speed BUT after driving the automatic I knew this would be a great daily driver! I let my wife select the color.

It was so funny to watch her when she test-drove the Z with the salesman. She pulled out onto the street and nailed the throtle, the rear end of the car squatted, hooked-up and roared to life!!! I could just see the ****-eating grin on her face! She came back and pulled me aside and said, "this the sexiest car ever". My wife, 55 years young, making such lude statesments, can you imagine???? Any hoot, we might be purchasing a 2007 - 2.5S Altima today as well (just so she doesn't get any ideas about the Z!!!!) and trade in the Lexus RX300.

Just in time too as we're travelling to Scottsdale for the Barrett-Jackson Auction this Saturday. Top down, wind in HER hair (I'm folliclly challenged and incapable of having a bad hair day), Bose system playin' some blues and classic R&R....awwwwwhh, life is good!

See ya later folks, guess I'll have to move over to the owner's forum now and get some ideas for accessorizing the beast....hooo whah!

Great story and congrats on the new car. You were wise to take your wife with you and include her in the buying decision.
A while back on a Monday I was visiting the Nissan delaer where I bought my Roadster and a guy about my age (over 50) pulled in with a Black Touring Roadster. He was trading it in on a Murano.
I commented to the General Manager that the guy's Roadster looked brand new. He said it is. The guy bought the car the previous Saturday (2 days earlier), drove it home about 100 miles, and his wife threw what best could be described as a "hissy fit"..."It's not safe." "It's not practical." etc.
Enjoy!

That is a cool story. Always good to give a car salesman a bit of fright. Very smart man involving your wife in the decision.

Enjoy!!!

Default Love my Mille R but.....

When did you sell your Aprilia and how? I'm actually selling mine as there just aren't any local twisty roads in Tucson...sacreligeous! I love the bike it's sharp and scary fast (0-60 in "OH MY GOD"). I hope to take the money from the sale and set it aside for my Kit car Cobra project.

Speaking of Cobras, I was at the Barrett-Jackson Auction at the moment Carrol Shelby's Cobra sold for 5.5 Million! I was at the end of the stage when they wheeled it outside to the display tent. I got a few pics. What an incredable event EYE CANDY EVERY WHERE (both of the 4-wheeled and 2-legged variety). Words could not describe it.

Hey anyone know what lateral G-force a stock Z will corner at? What is the best suspension mod one can make to get the G's upto around 1.0? I know the roadster is not as good a handling car as the coupe but the same mods can be made for either.

Later Guys

.93 ... according to Nissan. I've seen similar numbers elsewhere also.

I'm sure I will, but I haven't made a decision yet as to what kind. I've looked at several. About all I can say is that it will most likely be 5 spoke ( I just like the look of 5 ). Volk, Racing Heart, etc. just don't know the ones yet, or color for that matter. I'm torn between black and silver.

Of course, after having typed all that.. I realize I'm not in the thread I thought I was, sorry for answering a question you intended for the OP.
