Default introducing myself, new to Z

my name is Euston...

i'm new to this forum, and i dont own a Z... but would like to learn more about it. wanno show up for some of the meets, get to meet some of you, so i can get to know z little more....

i've been searching thru the forum this past week... found out that the problematic transmission was fix during the middle of 2004 production. but does this mean all the ones that were made before all have a recall on the trans? if i buy a use one that was made in 2003-pre2004 with bad trans, i'll be able to get the recall?

another question i have is that what year 350z is the best to buy? other then the new 07 "vqhr" engine? i'm more into performance of the car, like handling and speed. some ppl were saying that some years has softer ride, and some year has a stiffer ride? also whats sizes are 350z stock sway bars? edit(https://my350z.com/forum/brakes-and-suspension/119878-sway-bar-database.html found out myself)
is there any suspension changes during these years? are all the parts interchangable as far as the suspension and brake goes from 03-07?

now i have a 95 240sx, i've been working on different 240sx for years now...
240sx is use for drifting and daily...

how my car looks like last year:

change to kouki this year:

I own an 03 350Z and did have the tranny get a little notchy on me. It was replaced by Nissan for free, along with a new clutch and flywheel for free.

I would think that if you came across an 03-04 Z now that you were interested in buying, it would have already had the tranny replaced by nissan, has a notchy tranny when you test drive it, or it will just be fine. More then likely if you are buyin a Z in that year range, it will have quite a bit of miles on it, and it will already have the problem or it will just not have it.

As far as I know, track Z's have a little bit stiffer of a suspension with the bilstein struts in them in 03. Im not familar with other years as well, so I can not help you there, but Im sure others will.

Nice looking 240sx by the way, I miss my 98 a little bit, but love my 350Z a whole lot more!
