The whole point of my post, if it had one, was to say that I'm pretty sure he either:
A) Learned his lesson
or
B) Will die
Either way, I don't feel the need to call him names.
Again, I agree that street racing is among the dumbest, most irresponsible things, especially in a residential neighborhood.

HOUSTON -- Two teens were injured when a driver crashed his new car while street racing in River Oaks late Wednesday, KPRC Local 2 reported.
Houston police said the crash happened when the driver of a Nissan 350Z lost control while racing a BMW on Kirby Drive near Stanmore Drive at about 10:30 p.m.
"At some point, the Nissan lost control and left the roadway, striking two trees and pinning both occupants in the vehicle," Capt. Milton Martin said.
The force of the impact caused the car to split in half.
The 16-year-old driver suffered a head injury, and his girlfriend, the front-seat passenger, suffered minor injuries. Both teens were transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.
Detectives said the car had been picked up from a dealership earlier in the week.
The driver of the BMW left the scene before emergency crews arrived, police said.

If your wondering, both teens will survive.

i thought the guy was 20, not 16...
good luck recovering. keep that **** off the streets.
what a sobering incident.
to those who are calling the guy names... i know for a fact some of you have done stupid crap just like this..street/freeway racing, canyon runs, etc.
granted he most DEFINITELY shouldn't have been doing it with a passenger in the car. i hope this is a lesson learned.

Do dumb things, prepare to pay for the consequences. If you live, let this be a painful lesson to NOT F*%KING STREET RACE! You must have been going 100mph on that 30mph road to cause the car to sheer itself in two. Even worse because you had a passenger with you. You endangered other people's lives.
I have no sympathy for you.

That's a very sad situation. I hope he lives AND recovers from the head injuries. Could be a horrible situation for him even if he survives if the injuries are serious and permanent.
Sounds like the girlfriend will be all right - wonder if she'll still be his girlfriend after this.
I feel for their parents - who knows if they tried to teach their kids responsibility or if they taught their kids to be "coolest one on the block" with the latest and greatest possessions. Either way, this must be a horrible time for them.

Unbelievable. We recently had a horrible accident in the Chicago area were a guy in a RX-8 was being rather reckless and crashed. Not only did he get killed, but his two passengersas well (and they were burned alive, trapped in the car). Total BS. Keep it to the track and don't endanger your passenger's lives!
