Default is it a good idea to....

..get a 350z in high school.. specificallly in junior year? its either that or senior year or after i graduate.. i live in sugarland and my cousin in high school say that people get keyed sometimes. he said the nicest car he saw there was a m3 and it got keyed the next day.. so im wondering when is the best time to get a 350z i'd really love to have one, just not get it scratched.

Just wait. Get a beater for High School. I would cry if I found my car keyed, it's just more likely in HS.

I got mine 2 months before high school (class of 05) was over. Key word beeing "got", not given here. And yes I don't pay for my insurance, blah, blah, blah

edit: it's all about your high school demographic. Some highschools are worse than others in these things.

You don't have to get a beater for college, but I highly recommend you get a car that if something happens to it you aren't going to be upset seven ways from Sunday.

Get a any RWD car (preferably a decent 240) and LEARN TO DRIVE!!! It doesnt matter how "good you are at stick" or w.e if ur going auto, experience is the best teacher. After you love and take care of that car, then move on to a z. But thats just my opinion.

Get what you want since your parents are getting it. Who cares if its scratched up, you arent going to be making the payments.

As soon as you can afford one. If mommy and daddy are footing the bill, go for a Porsche.
