Default Finally did it. Picked up my Z!

Sold my Acura TL & sold my Busa, now I was able to buy my 04' Red line red 350Z with 26K! Been wanting one for the longest time, and I finally commited to sell my bike. Having the 350Z has left me with no regrets! The Z is trully a bad *** sports car. Tasteful appearance and performance mods will be around the corner. This forum is very impressive. Alot of very informative write ups. The real fun will be doing some of the upgrades myself!

Welcome to the forums! You mean Busa as in Hayabusa right? Must of been hard to let that go!

Thanks. Yea, 06' Hayabusa Pearl White. I've been on sportbikes since I was 15. My Z may not be as fast, but fast enough! Not to mention safer. Just maybe I might pick up the 08' Busa in the future. They gave her 40cc more in the engine department and a redesign. Suzuki's answer to Kawi's ZX14. For now the Z has got me very happy.

Thanks again for the welcome, I just found out I have a 04.5, and the relevance behind it. Interesting. Got my double din Eclipse A.V.N. unit installed. Looks very nice! Now I'm in the market for some 20x10 staggered wheels. I found some Sport Max wheels at a good price. I'm going to do some more research on that product, so far it doesn't seem to have negative feed back. Well back on to the spending of money, but with great results so far!

Well from what I understand 99 and 00 were the only models that did not have a speed limiter. They were capable of 200+ mph. Then the government wanted to restrict the speed to 189.6 for safety reasons. As 189.6 isn't fast! That's what makes the Busa the worlds fastest production bike, although there are faster bikes the limiters are on all big sportbikes. No bike no matter how big and fast will be able to go faster then the industry standard of 189.6. Performance shops sells what's called T.R.D.'s (Timing Retard Eliminators) makes the computer use 5th gear fuel maps when in 6th. they range from $50 to $150 bucks. After installing the T.R.D. your back to the speed of light.

Yea it wasn't the easiest thing, but it's all part of this elaborate plan I had. See I've been wanting a Z for the longest time. I knew that the Busa was up for a redesign and motor update in '08. I figured that I can buy my Z cash if I sold the bike and the TL. I also figured that I'll get more for my bike if I sold it prior to the release of the '08's. I had an '06 LE Pearl White - a sought after color scheme, so it was an easy sale. Down the line for maybe '09 I will possibly be looking for the bike.

Please excuse if this is a dumb question, but how do I use my own picture for an avatar? It seems to only allow you to choose from predetermined ones. Thanks.
