Default about to be a new owner

Hey everyone. First of all nice to be part of this forum. So far, from the comments i've read, this forum seems pretty nice, as far as car forums go anyway.
Here's my story:
I'm looking to buy a new Z within the next few months but am a little indecisive about something right now. I have a goal of making around 320whp w/ an '03 or '04 base. I have always wanted a turbo'd car, but am concerned whether or not the stock engine will hold it's own with 8.5 or so psi forced down it's throat. The only thing holding me back from FI is the initial cost of bulking up my block. So I thought taking the NA path... Is 320whp a reasonable AND cost effective goal for a NA Z? Or would it be just as much or more to go for the boost?
Oh and one more question which i could not find ( i searched) ... Are true dual exhaust systems any major gain over standard single shot or "regular dual exhaust systems" for the Z? I know that many imports do not benefit dramatically from these, however the Z has a larger displacement and a setup with which I am yet unfamiliar. Sorry for the "noobness" of the questions, I'm new to these cars.
Thanks in advance,
Tristan

Welcome Tristan. If you miander over to the Forced Induction subforum, you'll probably find most of the answers your looking for. Enjoy the forum, and good luck with your search for a Z. Have you driven one yet?

Best advice, is to take a few for a test drive. Each one is slightly different. Happy hunting.
