Default New Zed owner, Question

Well picked up my yesterday. has k miles on it was owned by one of the managers at the dealer (i know him personally). So far i drove the car 20miles home as i had to get some sleep for the next day. I have one question though while coming to a sop or cursing at a slow speed i get a humming noise sounds like it's coming from the front of the car. Anyone know what that could be? I will be taking it back to the Nissan dealer Monday as i work the weekend and have them check it out. I did kind of notice the noise wile test driving it but it went away *** soon as the car got up to speed.

Hope you like your new Z. Could the noise you hear be the electric radiator cooling fans activating at low speed when there's no air flowing into the rad?

Always bin a fan of the 350 but lately decided to pick one up after i sold my 550hp DSM. The 350 is no where close to that power but it's still a fun car and hopefully i don’t have to worry about it braking event day. Also I like to do a learn a lot about a car I plan to own so have bin larking reading post for a while now.

The car has 10320 miles on it, its a chrome silver 04 touring. Gas LSD, aftermarket eclipse navi/dvd head unit. Car is super clean looks like it was never even driven. Going to detail it this weekend as it sat at the dealer in the rain and sun for a month.

The noise is definitely not a elec fans, if you are familiar with what bad wheel bearings sounds like that’s the sound it's making. But it’s not constant, i'll do some more searching see if i can pin point what it is. Other than that so far i love the car.

I guess this is a very belated "Welcome" Shane,
Maybe the car doesn't want to hear the cursing so it hums. I had a girlfriend like that once. When she didn't want to hear something, she would cover her ears and start humming.
Congrats on the car.

What gear(s) do you hear the noise? If you're in 1st...that's just plain a loud gear, most noticably in parking lots.

"Humming" noise....how do the front tires look? Are they well worn? Are the insides more worn than the outter part of the tire?

My wife's bimmer had a bad wheel bearing and that noise is now unmistakable to me.

Sorry I didn’t get back to this post earlier but has bin a crazy work at week. Anyway a update on the car, while driving it over the weekend I notice it would grind going into 3rd at high RPM. I finally got a chance to drop it off at the dealer this morning. They called me about an hr ago to tell me they will be replacing the tranny and they ordered a new one today. Only 10500 miles on the car and the tranny started to go? Damn I hope what ever tranny they are putting it is stronger. I will talk to the service manager later today when I pick the car up. Other than that I have bin having a ball with the car love driven that thing. Already looking at rims, brakes and few other small things i want to get done.
