350Z newbie here.
After reading the Car and Driver article on the 350Z i must say im intrigued. This car has the performance of a WRX with the looks of a sports car.
Currently i drive a 2002 Acura RSX 5spd-M, 160hp. I love manual trannys and all sports cars. im relatively new to the Nissan scene, my dad had a 92 Max, but thats about it. Just wanted to introduce myself.
Anyone got a Z in red? there arent many pics on the official site of a red Z.

Victor thank you very much for those gerat pics. The 350Z is looking better and better. Now im torn between an S2000 or 350Z once my RSX goes back after its lease.
Victor is the man and knows so much that he could probably post much more if eating and sleeping didn't get in the way.
If you order a car now you probably couldn't get it until December or January since the first 7500 cars are already sold.

VQ posts here quite a bit...he says it keeps him "regular".
No, you cannot get the Z just yet - most folks on here pre-ordered the car and are awaiting, patiently or not so patiently, their Z's arrival. The pre-orders will be in very soon (Please...this waiting's giving me agita), there will probably be a few Z's from cancelled ordered available to the public within a couple of months and a steadier flow after November.

I looked at the S2000 it is quite a car. Look at this link:

You may find a lot of people here are anti honda or anti S2000, but I think the two are very close in looks, performance, and price. But I happen to like a hard top and the Z has more interior room.
As for the 350Z convertible, I am not sure what the weight penalty will be. The Z may not need to gain too much weight, if it comes in at 3300 lbs figure a 5.5 and 14.2 sec time, not much difference.
The M3 convertible for some reason gains almost 400 lbs, and it's acceleration is much worse than the coupe.
