Default Opinions, please...perhaps buying tonight or tomorrow

So my friend at a dealership got a beautiful 350 in, might be purchasing it...tell me what you all think about it...good deal or no?

2003
Blue
6MT
41,000 miles
Touring, with nav
In excellent shape, a couple very minor scratches

Also has
Injen cold-air intake
Injen Sport SES exhaust (sounds good, nice and deep)
ADR Design Sterling 20" wheels
K40 stealth radar...built into plates and instrument panel

All in all, very clean and very beautiful...sorry, no pics.

Asking $16,900 for it.

Yes or no?

Go for it! It seems like a good deal. Low mileage for the year and has some goodies you may want. Keep in mind that with all those "goodies", the car may have seen some hard times (racing abuse). I personally would go for it.

What does the mechanic you paid to inspect the car say?

And what did the Carfax tell you?

Clean Carfax. Everything checks out underneath. He said it's been run a litle bit, but also well-taken care of.

The 2 main problems with the 2003 was the 6MT transmission and Tire feathering... Ask if the Tire feathering issue has been fixed on this car... I would pay careful attention to the shifting, see if you hear any grinding when shifting through the gears....

Other than that looks like a good deal....

P.S. Almost forgot make sure the fuel line recall has been done on it....

Ditto. I would imagine by 41,000 miles the tire feathering would have been taken care of, but you never know. Now is the time to have someone take care of those things so you don't.

Default I just traded my 03 Ent for an 07 Roadster Tour

My advice on the 03...

AWESOME Car!! I loved every second I owned it.

I had the tire feathering problem, but had it fixed. Check that out. Have it taken to an alignment shop and checked out first.

Also, watch out for the windows. Both of mine died within the first 4 years. It costs about $500 per window to replace the regulators. Not cheap!! Not everyone has that issue, but it was common on that model and the 04 from what I hear.

So I went ahead and got it.

It's freaking awesome. I love it.

I need to have some minor paint chips on it fixed, but it will cost me about $100. No big deal.

Lexus-backed 3 year / 36,000 mile extended warranty, covers damn near everything.

I do believe I have found my car for the next little while.

I paid $1500, but I got a pretty good deal on it. He said the standard price for that warranty is around $2200-$2500.

Not really. Intake and exhaust would be all I plan to do anyway, and it's already done, so much the better.
