My 2003 Track
I recently purchased a 2003 Track model with 39k on it. And thought id share, this is my First Z however my older brother went from a Z31 (what i learned to drive a stick on) to a Z32TT which i drove alot. So this was a nice step for me.
But small backround i guess since this is somewhat of an introductory thread.
I had a 96 talon tsi awd, since i was 17. Learned alot from that car and on its old setup made 338awhp, and went 12.12@112.9 on that setup which was just the small 16g the esentials and cams. After maxing that setup out I upgraded the turbo, injectors, computer, and fuel pump after that and had some issues that i didnt care to fix anymore (its a dsm so it was none stop fixing), Parted it out and started my search for my Z. So here it is, mods are Nismo catback and Nismo CAI

I have some noob questions im sure, so i figured ill throw them in here while i search a bit more. I know these trannies are known to fail, is there any mix of tranny fuild that helps with these? Like some redline blend with shockproof? And what about the rear end fluid, any recomendations? And lastly, i know this has to be around here somewhere but what can these longblocks take as far as whp before things get in that pushing it zone?
Thanks for any help, i know the questions are noobish, thats why i havnt posted in another forum yet. So if you can help me out great, if not ill be searching around.

Welcome and a big congrats. We were all noobs so don't let that stop you.
You will probably have more people see your questions in the appriate forums.
Your drive train may still be under warranty. I had read some complaints on the earlier models transmission, but you never know how much of it was from drivers leaning stick.
Congrats on the track model and that's pretty low milage. I've had mine for a little over a year and I'm only 7K behind you. I've had a tire pressure sensor go out and thats it. Well, I did hit that deer.
Thanks for the nice pics.

Great car man. I have an 03 mt and even though each car is different, Ive put my tranny through thirteen levels of hell and it never misses a beat. Its got 66k miles on it and its still going, alot of forums have been posted here about what mods require modifications to your tranny. Just look around and you can find answers to just about any question.
Thanks guys, I found the thread on the fuild change and ill be thowing some redline fluids in over winter break, changing over to SS clutch/break lines and doing some nice fluid in those lines as well.
I just want to do all the preventative matiance I can. And found a thread that said ~400whp is the zone for build motor. But then people pretty much say to do any FI reliable needs to be built. I just want 300-350rwhp out of it, which is a ways off so ill be reading up.
This car is alot of fun to drive thats for sure, but it does take getting used to switching from a AWD car that is very forgiving in the twities to this.
