Default totalled car, but good came out of it

so about a month ago i was t-boned in my 06 civic SI at 60 and the car was totalled. i have always had my eye on a z but those damn things are always out of my price range even for a used one. well i went to a dealer to go look at an srt-4 and out of the corner of my eye i see a blue z so i went over for a look. WOOOHOOO its a manual transmission. forget the srt i found a z. i look and it was an 06 with only 22k miles, cool it just gets better. now im expecting some $22-24k price tag. well after some talking and negotiations im bringing home my new 06 Z in blue tomorrow for $19k

.....you guys dont have to worry about me, im not some car idiot noob who will ask a bunch of retarted questions . been reading a lot and have a pretty good knowledge on the z so far

Plans:
i see headers and intakes do **** so scratch that
hmm exhaust
1. stock exhaust sounds so nice that i almost want to keep it and do an electronic dump
2. JIC single 3'
3. skunk 2
4. greddy evo2
anyone have any opinions on sound and performance quality on those from PERSONAL EXPERIENCE
125-150 shot with UTEC for tuning
start to build and prep the motor for boost
TT kit hopefully making 650whp

im hoping to do things in that order

well just thought i would say whats up and it looks like you guys are stuck with me now

sweet deal!

I found my blue z almost the same way, accept I wasnt car shopping, or looking at neons (sorry couldnt resist). I always had my eye on the z, was out of my price range, but literally drooled every time I saw a z, expecially a blue one! On my way to breakfast one day I saw one. I told my gf it would be too much blah blah, well, long story short I traded in my prelude for it. 04.5 w/ 25k for 23k

Congrats on the car, that is a good price. As far as mods, crawford headers when tuned do give you a VERY nice jump in torque. Test pipes are good bang for the buck too. No disrespect and not trying to be a dink but if you didn't get the Z before because it was too expensive i would stay clear of building the engine and going TT. That setup alone with supporting mods will run you more than the car costs.

OP, it's "retarded" not "retarted". Thanks for the laugh, retart!

(Note to mods: allow a little fun in here and don't get your undies in a wad)

Good deal man.

I came from having an SRT-4 and while you would have had fun with it (and beating stock 350's no problem), you went with the better overall choice with the Z. While it might not have that drag racing car feeling like the SRT-4 does, it does offer better interior, better quality in every way, handling that the SRT-4 can only DREAM of, and its a Pu@@y magnet.

You win.

Nice!!!See you've been learning pretty well about the headers and intakes. I wonder exhaust you'll pick up though.

Now you're gonna get comments like:
"350Z's are slow"
"Those have the Maxima engine"
"That's not a real sports car"
"Should've gotten a Corvette"
"Nice Eclipse"
