Default Hello

Hey all - figured I'd say hi. I picked up a Z a couple weeks ago. Daily driving it for the time being, but don't really plan on beating on it daily for too long.

It's black 05 6sp with no options. Assuming that's a base?

I came from a background of sports cars. Been through 2 FD RX7s; the last being over 500 to the wheels, Supras (still have a MKIII in the garage) and turbo hondas blah blah blah... Was pretty impressed with the Z when I drove it, so I bought it.

Been poking around here - pretty nice. Lots of good info!

Justin

I had an integra GSR that I installed the Greddy 18g kit on years ago... was actually one of the first ones who bought it. Made for quite a fun ride!

I do have pics - will have to dig them up when I get home from work.

Thanks! I absolutely love the Z.

I just have to ask what impressed you most about the 350Z after owning the FD RX7 and Supra MKIII or the Greddy mod Intrega? I'd think that a NA 350Z would seem kinda mild compared to those SC dragster!! Is it that you got foresight having put a Greddy TT on the Accura you can see the possibilities in the 350's V6?

Or you happy with it Stock?

Well, to start it's much newer. Very solid feel. New smell. Nice interior. The RX7 didn't have power steering... no AC... stunk like rocket fuel. Not really practical. The Supra is a PIG. Feels heavy, and it's HUGE. Fun to drive, but not, ya know? The integra compares closest. It was a 12 second daily driver that cornered very well and got great gas mileage... but that was totalled. It would be a fun build again though!

The Z has a nice powerband, it shifts smooth, and it handles rather well. Not the fastest thing, but I can get in, turn the key and drive. All my other cars have been modded to death - needed to listen to every weird sound, had gauges everywhere... I DON'T miss that.

I'll put a suspension and wheels on the Z and likely not do anything else. I've been through all the intake, header, exhaust mods you can think of (hondas though - owned a shop). I'm not wasting the money on marginal gain that all that gives. Besides, I like my hearing too! HAHA

Soon as I get the chance, I'll put pics up of the other turds - just haven't had a chance yet.
