Default Couple of questions...Feedback greatly appreciated!

Hi all,

Ok some updates...

I decided to purchase the Viper 5900. Since there are a lot of features in the alarm...I think I'll just go to a professional place to get it installed. However, I have heard dozen of stories where the installers would come to your house a couple days later and steal your car. So I am a little effy about that.

Also, I purchased a Valentine 1 radar..and will be hard-wiring it. I searched for some installation guides on the website and found some helpful guides. Hopefully if I do have a question about install, maybe someone can chime in. I'm not going to be racing this thing..I'm not into it...it is just a little precaution on the highway as sometimes I catch myself going over the speed limit and I think that bright colors just might be a ticket magnet.

Pics coming up today!! woohoo! I am flying to Orlando to pick it up.

Also I forgot to say, thanks to everyone here on this forum for such a great site!

if my Z didn't came with a viper 971XV alarm, I would go to www.asianwolf.com. I bought 3 sets of alarm from them to 3 different cars, they have some pretty awesome alarm systems with very affordable price, just my .02

Thanks for the reply 350z Nu Be.

Just a quick question... how is the "shock sensor" for the alarm? is it very sensitive?...Also, it looks as if you have a z hatch... so is there sort of like a motion sensor inside of the hard? Reason I ask is because I have a soft-top. And is there a kill-switch if the car is stolen then it will turn off after a few seconds?

I know that if someone really wants to steal your car they will, but all I want to do is make it hard for them if they do try.

Thanks again!

to tell you honestly, i don't have the car in my position yet i'm picking it up Friday in IL sorry

but the shock sensors are adjustable to your sensitivity liking, i have them installed in my 01 civic and 95 accord they also sell the microwave sensors that senses when there's movement around the peremeter of your car, quite cool but i haven't had em installed...

but if you wanted it to be tracked, then i would go with lojack, it's a very good investment, i may have to get one on mine if the income permits
