Hello, I am Lindsay. My husband and I decided a couple months ago, we were going to live our childhood while we still have it and get a convertible. We both have always loved Z's. But I am a hardass when it comes to money. I work as an auto claims adjustor so I have problems with paying much for cars. However on a whim we decided to go car shopping. Went to a local dealer, and found my dream Z. 2007 Roadster grand touring 6 speed (of course) w/ navi, of course leather and all the bells and whistles. It was custom ordered in 2/07 and the guy lost his job and never took delivery. After a couple hours, a rearrangement of the showroom floor, some price bickering and a test drive off we went with my new Z. It's fast as hell and has me worried with the damn snow we get here in Kansas.
Well heres a little history on me... I got interesting cars at 9 (this is the early 90s), I helped my brother install a bass box, an aftermarket bumper, stereo, blackouts for the lights, all kinds of stuff. When I turned 15, I got my first car a 1988 Acura Integra silver hatchback. Learned to street race, double clutch and lots of other things that almost got me in trouble. Then I got a 1997 Honda del Sol Si at 18, cypress green pearl, targa top. I tinted the windows, changed the taillights, put on a spoiler. Then I graduated, decided that even though I was 21 in the workplace I was tired of being looked at as a kid, so I bought a 2005 Nissan Altima SE-R, plan and simple its a sporty family car. Got married in October and then decided its time. We didnt plan to buy until summer but when you find what you want at a good deal, you gotta pounce.
Now my husband doesn't understand the fast cars and thrill of driving a manual. However he has an even more expensive hobby. He's an off-roader. Our next project is a early 90s 4runner, swap an ls300 engine in it and build it from scratch. Getting my Z was part of the deal, he gets a 4runner I get a Z. Obviously I got the better end of the deal.
However, I can't afford to do many mods at this point due to the increase in insurance and payments, however I am looking to see what kinda of ipod hookup you can hard wire into the Z? What is the best exhaust and anyone found a good spoiler for the roadster?
Thanks!
Lindsay
I will get pics up once I have some time

Its been a couple years since I've done the forum thing, I can't remember which website is good host photos....help me out and I'll get a couple up. (My work computer doesnt allow me to edit photos and they are too big to upload on here.)
I was there the day it was prepped for delivery and the first time I ever saw San Marino Blue. The new owner was to pick it up that night.
I went back a few weeks later and the car was still there. When I asked why I was told "Well the buyer works for Sprint......" That told me all I needed to know. Sprint was going through one of it's many layoffs.
Congrats again. You may have the only SMB Roadster in Kansas City!!
BTW, I PM'd you.

congrats on your new ZR!
as for the ipod integration, crutchfield has an adaptor called the PA11-NIS. $120?? it hardwires to your audio.
i've been using a tape adapter...and so far it sounds way better than those FM transmitters. not bad for $5
as for exhaust, i'm partial to the nismo (whenever i get some more money). otherwise the stock one suffices for me.

Thank you, I'm LOVING it. Despite the fact that is 10 degrees and snowed twice this week (or the Z didn't leave my garage). I still can't get enough. By the way what is noob? There should be more females who like cars....I don't get why they don't. I have to admit when I was 18-19 it was a great way to meet men....ie my husband.
