Default How reliable is a 2003/2004 Z with high mileage

Any bugs that show up after ~50K miles that I should be looking for?

I'm around 55k miles right now with no issues. I did get a coupon in the mail for a free "100 point inspection" at the Nissan Dealership which may uncover some hidden issues...not sure if I want to bother though.

Actually, bugs pop up early on in our beasts: gas latch release thing, driver's side power w. glitch, feathering, hatch door struts, etc. The good news is:
THE best engine in the automotive industry, 11 yrs. running; NO overheating
issues; NO electrical issues; AT is problem-free (not so with the MT!). Just a
series of little annoyances that WON'T leave you stranded. As a matter of fact, the Zed's one of the few CR recommended Sports cars. So, fears begone from your soul! Jump on a Zed for the ride of your life, guy!

anything I should worry about for 03 vs 04? I know that most of the bugs were probably worked out on the 04s, but i'm guessing there were service bulletins and what not to fix the 03 bugs.

With each new model, the beast gets better, with the exception of the '06,
which has an oil consumption problem (&, even with that issue, all you gotta
do is just to check the oil level more often). So, DO IT, guy. G'luck! I got my
Coupe with all TSBs covered, thank God.

there is a 2003 with 79K miles listed for 14,900 here, it's got two owners and no accident history or anything. it's a touring with leather.

I'm thinking of offering them like $12K or so and see if they bite...right now i'm driving a 2006 a4 with about a $475 car payment and i'd like to reduce it by quite a bit...if i could get a 350z for <15k, that'd help

Welcome to the forum. Drive a few, you'll soon get to know what's normal and what isn't. Each year has it's little quirks. Keep us posted on what you buy.

I keep thanking the good Lord!: '04 Touring Coupe, 13k on it when bought,
$22,000. For your info', cars here (Puerto Rico) are much more expensive than
stateside. No feathering, just the gas latch release thing, the hatch door str-
uts problem, & the driver's side power w. glitch. This a godsend!

The 350Z motor will explode at 60,000 miles. Be careful.
