Default new Z owner in Rochester, NY 03 Track

hi all, thought I would introduce myself.
I just traded my 05 Altima SE-R for an 03 Z M6 with 30K on the clock.
its the track with aftermarket 2 tone leather, and stock navigation.
I got the Z for 18.5 and they gave me 18k for my SER with 31K on it (it was auto) I got the 4 year 48k warrantee for an extra 1500, so I should be in some pretty good shape.

The Z is in pretty good shape, It needs nothing and runs well.

This forum is HUGE which is something im not used to (previous 3000gt/stealth owner 6x over) the 3/S community only had like 10k members. I was a member there for about 8 years. I know my way around cars pretty well, and the Z is going to be a new learning experience for me.

a few questions I would like some help with.

0. does the stock nav play regular dvds?

1. how pre-disposed are the 03's to oil consumption (the oil light came on on my 5th test drive today for a second, it might just be low on oil)

2. does my track come with an LSD? I think it does because I laid a real nice patch with it coming out of my housing track.

3. there is a rattle coming from the center console, is there any quick fix for it?

4. the center console door is real finicky... any known fix for this?

5. where can I get a stock 6spd shifter new?

6. other than the tire feathering problem, what other common issues are afoot with the 03z?

7. the driver window is a little wierd on this thing, if i use the express up switch it hits the top and goes down a 1/4 of the way, but if i dont use express it will go up and stay up. any fix for this besides replacing the whole motor?
8. is there a vfaq for these cars anywhere? im a serious diy'er and would like to read up on the car before i start playing with it.

9. where can i get some nice stock manual leather seats in black? i dont like the aftermarket wrapped ones that are coming with the car.

10. is there any fix for the brembo brakes peeling paint? both of them have a small chip in them smaller than a penny..

thats about it.. anyone that has anything constructive to add is more than welcome, I dont want to see internet dork stuff like "fail" and pwned in my thread. if thats you posting **** like that, stop playing world of warcraft immediately and try getting laid once in a while.

thanks again guys!

I'm assuming that you didn't buy from a Nissan dealership as they would gladly sell you the original parts that you want.

You might also want to just have the dealer take care of the problems. Guessing by your question #1 (and 03's aren't prone to oil consumption) it doesn't sound like you are familiar with the dip stick. The light basically tells you to check it.
Welcome and enjoy.

im having the dealer take care of a lot of the stuff.. looking for a HID driverside headlight assembly, thats the only thing he said he wasnt going to do.
we will see when I take delivery.

as for the oil consumption thing.. is it less common in the 03? the oil light came on, and im assuming the oil hasnt been changed in a long while, so it was probably due..

thanks for the positive feedback guys

Oil consumption was not an issue with 03s.

Track model has LSD and VDC (which includes TCS)
