Default New Z owner...intake question

I am a new Z owner well sort of bought mine March 07 but have been on deployment with the US Navy for a while...need some help. I am looking at adding an intake. There are a lot of options now AEM, Nismo, K&N, Fujita, etc. Which one should I choose? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

After reading the forums it seems that the drop in K&N filter is probably your best bet.

Default I agree and have another question.

I have been reading these forums relentlessly looking for intake options (just bought an '08 Touring) and it seems that our cars with the dual intake are pretty much optimized. The general consensus is that K&N filters are the best bet to squeeze out just a little more HP because there isn't much difference in stock vs. aftermarket HP results when changing the whole system.

My question is will dropping in K&N filters change the sound at all? I like the slight hiss of an intake system but if I'm only going to get sound, then I can't justify 300-400 bucks to change the whole thing. I'll wait a few years for the TT kit to change the sound!

I have a stock one with a K&N now, and I just ordered a pop charger. I'm going to dyno before and after. We'll see.

If you already have the k&n dropin Iwould just stickwith it. If you really want an aftermarket intake most people run the popcharger however my personal favorite is the stillen intake: http://www.stillen.com/product.asp?i...SAN&model=350Z
