Soon to be Z owner!
Well, I'm selling my Monte Carlo SS, because it gets a max of 16 mpg, and I'm looking to go for something with good gas, and is still performance oriented. I've loved Z's for a long time, and now I'm finally getting one. It's a 2003 with about 88,000 miles on it, picking it up for 13.5$, Black, Enthusiast, after-market body kit, and after-market rear gears. Anyways, I wrote an uh.. poem, I guess. A foreword: I've always owned American cars. 100% American. And then I discovered that quite a few of the domestics are crap in quality compared to imports. So, here I am. I've been a car guy for about 4 years, my previous vehicles include a 2005 Mustang GT, and a 1992 Corvette. Anyways; here's the poem:
I am an American. I like cars, beer, and football. I like wrestling, and boxing, and watching guys get hit in the jaw. But my greatest fear of all, are these new economy laws. I love me some truck ballz, and I love me some droppin' bras, especially when the light turns green. But ****, these old men in congress are just flat out mean! All this talk of 'going green', what's going to happen to my V8, my big block of mean!? I can't buy domestic anymore, it's like fighting a damn war. Gas goes up, cars go down. I can't even afford the gas to drive my V8 in to town! So now I buy a Nissan, while all my friends are going "You're going to get pissed on!". But I disagree, I think I'll win. I'll get good mileage and fun times, even if the VIN does start with a "J". Hell, maybe I'll even give that new Camaro a run.
Anywho, I'm looking forward to being a part of the community. God bless this car for being out of warranty!

Doesn't the z only get 20/25 on the MPGs? Thats not much better... It is a good way to try and convince the wife into letting you get one though .
Edit... Not to mention the cost of premium fuel...

Doesn't bother me. It's not a V8, and that's what I'm looking for. Plus, we all know Manuals get better gas mileage than this 4-speed truck tranny in my current Monte.
