"Premium fuel only" is put on most new cars these days, but it doesn't mean that ir repuires it. There was a special on the news the other night stating that its only there because obviouslly higher octane is better for your car and burns cleaner. Just run some fuel system cleaner through it regularly and you'll be fine. Don't listen to these other "know-it-alls."
A lot of owners manuals recomment premium fuel, the manual for the Z doesn't recommend it, it says its required.

Please, do me a favor, when you sell your car, when you list all the wonderful options and mods, add the fact that you ran low octane fuel in it for all those miles. At least prepare the buyer for his future problems.

The day I can't afford gas for my Evo is the day it's gone.

So you've never had something unexpected come up where you needed to use all the money you had and wasn't able to buy something as simple as a tank of gas? Keep in mind that some of these people may have bought their car when gas was less than $2.00/gal.

So $30 in lower octane gas the cars lifetime is going to cause problems now? you're going to run into more problems just with plain everyday driving. Plus, it's just a ****ing car! It's not your life!

Yes, I have had things come up... that's one of the reasons why I have a SAVINGS ACCOUNT. I always have a cushion to fall on.

Srsly, $4 ain't gonna bail you out of ****. If it can, get a cheaper car so you could have HUNDREDS extra to bail you out of ****. Don't eat fast food once. Turn the lights off when you leave a room. Unplug **** you ain't using. That's save you more than using **** gas in a car that REQUIRES the best.

What's gonna happen on that one bad tank of crap gas that you needed an extra $4 dollars and you get some nasty detonation and BOOM, blown engine? Hope you pinched that $4 for a new block.

So, $30 over the lifetime of your car is gonna bail you out of all kinds of mess? Don't think so.

Got to be prepared for the future...

Oh... I see you're in California... you probably don't do that there judging by your mortgage woes.

Did finally talk to nissan, said 87 wont void warranty, they do recommend not pushing the car to it's limit on it, but, it will function fine. So, if you are a teenager who needs to "drift" and "speed" to increase the size of his "pe*&$", then use the high octane. Get the tickets from John Law and pay or have your parents pay, for the higher insurance.

Me, I feel the car looks fast enough as it is, I don't have to prove anything.

And when that kid in civic w/the hood off and the 4 differently sized tires and the huge Richard Petty spoiler and the 3-tone paint w/the grapfruit launcher exhaust goes by with his windows down 'cuz he spent more on the looks of the car than buying an a/c unit, so he's sweating like a pig, and thinking he's looking "cool"...

Oh, forgot the "bondo" body work...

Btw, those who are going to respond, please get your parents permission.

Lastly, when I walk into a store and like something I see, I don't have to ask myself..."can I afford this"?

You wannabe's getting the big pic here?

Thanks for your post Rhyno, obviously, you are a man of class and reason...unlike the rest of the go cart drivers on this site.

Heyyyyyyyyyyy, just kidding all of you guys! I really love you all and thanks for your input. Even you, ni$mo350, ya rat b*@3!%*.

Default Fial?

Man, I spent alot of time on that fial. Well, gotta remember why I'm here. It's for advice from other z owners. And I love my z.

How about that license plate frame they give you w/the sharp edges to ruin your front "bumper". I coverd mine up w/electrical tape, someone told me they have one that attaches to the tow hook set up in the front grill area...

When you turn 21 you can get one of these!

Well... on the other hand... if you can't afford not even $5 more a fill up, you probably don't need one...

No problem now please get off and stay off the site. We've all put a lot of time and money into keeping my350 running smoothly. We've all contributed one way or another to this site and we are more than happy to help those who ask reasonable questions. The key word is REASONABLE. You call us go cart drivers who can't afford our cars but you're the piece of chit worried about pinching the pennies between your couch just to get by. For you to come in here acting like you rule the fawkin world is rediculous. You need to get your head out of your a$$ and read over everything you've said.

The big picture is 1) you didn't search and 2) you asked a dumb fawking question that has been answered countless times. I've helped out on numerous ocasions whenever someone has a question worth answering but when a NOOB starts running his NOOB mouth asking NOOB questions which results in NOOB flaming then don't cry about it. Man up take the advice and STFU. I know Rhyno. I went to school with him and he's an awesome mechanic and all he was saying was that yes you CAN run it but it's not reccomended so why risk it. Is $4.00 really worth it? As I and many before have said. If you're worried about spending $4.00 a fill up get a cheaper car cuz the reality is you can't afford it. Sure I can get a $50k car but it's not worth it if you can't afford the gas to drive it. You're pathetic and everyone here agrees. The only reason this site has become as bad as it has is because of pieces of chit like you. Please PLEASE for those who've been on here and have truly contributed to my350, ban this noob for good.
