Default Countdown to Z-Day

Alright, so I've set a goal of December 5th (my birthday) to have enough cash saved to get out and trade my 330Ci for a Z. I'm estimating that I'll need to pay off about $4k by then to make it work. This will be through my normal monthly payments and a few bucks to put down at the dealership. I'll update the thread to keep everyone up to date... if you actually care. I'm beyond excited.

After 2 days of selling random crap from the BMW and my garage, I have $402 in the kitty.

Lol! Gratz on the upcoming purchase! Hope it all goes well for you man! You need to sell a whole lot more though cuz as soon as you get the Z the mod bug will have already bitten you! Good Luck!

So, it was a decent first week. Paid right at $800 off the car. That's almost 1/4 of what I need to make this thing happen. Hoping to put another $400 towards the principal next week.

I've been looking around quite a bit. I have my eye on a nice PPW 04 Enth. Mileage is a little high, but everything else checks out.

Are you sure you want to buy and 04? A stock 07 will match the quickness of a half modded N/A 04. Why not spend a little more and try to find one with that sexy bump on its hood.

Keep your eye out, with this enconomy u can get a screamin deal on one. I drove the 08 before i bought the 04 and it was fast as hell. i Love the way it screams to the 7500 redline but..... oppossed to the 04 there was a bigger price than performance difference for MY BANK BOOK. I have no regrets and i love the instant torque response in any gear at any speed. Anyways if you can flip the the 07-08 go for it otherwise get the 04, u wont be dissapointed either way

Thanks for the kinds words.

As for the 7500rpm redline, there's no reason that the 04 can't eventually do the same thing

So, I've paid right at $1000 off in a week. Not a lot, but considering I'm broke, it makes me happy. As it is, I'll be saving about $90 a month on my payment by getting into the Z. I've actually grown to like the grey. I've found a 2004 with 55k on it for right at $15k. Enthusiast. If I didn't have another $1500 or so in parts to sell off my car, I'd jump on it!

Not a lot of action this week. I guess the slow economy puts mods lower on people's lists. I have 2 guys close to getting me about $1000 for parts. Cross you fingers!

An 07 will run him more money and it would most likely a base model and that sucks. Good luck on your purchase and dont forget to post pics

Small update. Sold my differential and a few other things. I'll have another $400 by the end of the week. Hoping to have another $500 next week.

The wifey saw a silverstone on Saturday night. She liked it.

FWIW, as I understand it you are planning on financing the Z right? My strong suggestion is to save your money until you can pay cash for the car. Financing a car is a losing proposition.

If I thought I could save $15k for a car, I'd put it towards credit cards.
