Noobie
Hey guys.
Im new to this forum and firs let me say you guys really have a nive site here. Very well organized and informative.
With that being said I have a few questions. Some of these will come off as stupid to you all im sure, but please bear with me. First off, I am acquiring some money in January and I'm looking to purchase a 350z at that time. I would like to spend no more the 18.5k. Is this a realistic price for a somewhat low to mid milage 350z?
Also, what are the differences between the coupe, roadster, and enthusiast? I can see a few differences but Im just curious as to what all differences are.
Lastly, would you reccomend a 350z to me? Obviously your opinions will be a little biast. Im saying what kind of problems do they have and are they worth the money.
Thanks in advance for all the help.

Welcome to the forums.
From what i've seen in my time doing research, any Z that you find in that price range will have atleast 20-25k miles, if not more.... Unless you are looking at a rebuild/salvaged title, which isn't a very good idea.
Trim wise, coupe is, well a coupe. Roadster's have a soft-top convertible and come in every trim except base and Nismo. To be specific, the Enthusiast trim comes with a VLSD (Viscous limited-slip differential), as well as Traction Control, Cruise Control, Homelink, an auto dimming rear view mirror and alluminum pedals. Those are the main things it has over the base model.
Regarding the recommendation, you'll have to keep asking. I dont have my Z yet =P

Are you going to do your own work on your car, or will it be done at a workshop?

As for prices, I'd make use of Edmunds.com to get an idea. Also, when you are ready to do some serious shopping, it is worth getting a 2 month Autocheck subscription so you can run all the VINs you want to check out car history as well as how long a car has been sitting around waiting to be sold.
I'd be curious to know more about the OP as well. He asked whether the Z would be a good car for him, yet we don't know anything about him. Redline, how about a little info so we can help. Let us know...
- age
- driving experience
- is the car a daily driver or not?
- financial stability (as in can you afford major repairs if needed not to mention very high insurance rates)
- weather conditions where you live
- type of driving (highway, city commute, country dirt roads, etc...)
Then maybe we could give you opinions on whether a Z would be good and possibly what model might be best.
