Thumbs up Helping to dissipate fear in the stock market

Hi everyone,
I just wanted to let you all know that I did my part on Saturday night, Oct 11, to help the economy and slow down the stock market selling panic. I bought a brand new 2008 350Z. Enthusiast level, dark blue (San Marino Blue, I think) with automatic transmission. No other options.
As an indication of the economy (I think), I was able to get a price (before tax and tag) of $28,773. I checked Edmunds.com and that is about $1400 less than what "others are paying" in my zip code.

Anyway, so far the car is a blast to drive, and I hope to be buying some accessories in the future. That's where I hope this forum can help.

Happy motoring, y'all.

Ferd,

you are a person after my own heart. I figured in light of the serious economic downturn what would be the best thing I could do? Answer was simple....buy a sports car!

Loving my new Z too!

Steve

Thank you all for your gracious welcomes.
Even though I will not get any credit for it in the media, I am glad that I was the catalyst that turned around the stock market. Even though it was down 76.62 today, that's still better than it was.
I still have a job and income and I can afford the payments. I got a 4.75% loan from my credit union, despite stories today about GMAC being really picky on issuing credit. I guess my credit union didn't read that story. What economic downturn?
OBTW, the price I got it for was $28,733, not $28,773. Hey, 40 bucks is 40 bucks.

It's a buyers market out there, good job, regardless, of what your purchasing -all large buys should be bartered, most are willing to discount products to get turns on inventory!

I told my Dad the same thing (helping the economy) when I bought my car. I also told him it was a great way to save money since my insurance went down.

Welcome to the forum, good to see you've got a sense of humour about the economy. CongratZ on the one year colour by the way.
