After some extensive researching (including a lot on this forum), I decided on a 350z and bought an 08' base today. I got a great deal on one of the last new 08s ( I think so anyway) It isn't anything special- just a new base model. No mods yet but I'm planning on tint, radar hardwire, and antenna swap in the next couple days. Over the next few months, an upgraded stereo system, replacement seats, and rear spoiler (maybe stillen). Suggestions for mods after that?

I love this car and I'm suprised how many heads it turns! One person even rolled down their window at a red light to tell me how much they admired the car- it's not like it's a new model!? It also catches some negative attention... I got my 1st ticket today in 7 years- this thing is certainly more powerful than I'm used to. Let's hope my insurance doesn't skyrocket!

i got a base model too, good choice of color, get new wheels ithink is a good start

 

08 base model here as well. For performance I would say get a quaife, it made the most difference in mine and is a drop in for base models.

 

I guess I'm one of the rare ones that actually likes the stock rims- I have no intentions of ever changing them. The LSD is a good idea and something I have thought about. I really want to get a feel for the car and see if I need it. What did you pay for your quaife (total installed) if you don't mind me asking. Thanks!

yah, dats what i also need some LSD, how much was the quaife? i was looking at the nismo ones but cant decide at the time...

 

07 base with a few mods just your basics. Welcome aboard and very happy modding oh and please keep the speed at a safe level or just be safe in general.

 

The speeding definitely wasn't intentional- rather a side effect of a 5 hour drive in a car I'm not used to with no cruise control... I'm certainly watching the speed now though. Tint and radar to be installed tomorrow.
