those stupid angry eyelids for the 350z.. someone should jump on this idea, imo, and make a eyelid that covers up the boomerang like this. it would make the front look a lot better imo. this + new bumper to replace the fangs = money!

So basically just go back to the 350?
negative. the 370 is better in every way other then a couple of exterior blemishes (imo). correcting the headlight shape and having a front bumper without fangs is hardly modifying a car :]
In all seriousness though, I think died-in-the-wool Z owners are not going to take lightly to change especially cosmetic change. You're right about one thing, you can't argue the superiority over the 350 in terms of performance etc. With styling it becomes very subjective. I think Nissan (particularly the Z development team) wanted to stand out from the older generation in a way that was noticable to anyone looking at it.
I know a lot of Corvette peeps who really bitched about the re-designed headlights when the C6 was unveiled but FFS man... do you really want pop-up headlight?? Hello.. welcome to the 70's. IMO that was the best design move Chevrolet ever made with that stupid mid life crisis car.
Also, the new Z's styling is much sexier in person (except for that ridiculous blue color they have out
yeah man I know what you mean, and I agree with ya. Don't get me wrong though I think the new 370Z is AWESOME!! However, I think the headlights could look a little better as well as the front bumper. It would be hard for me to go right out after buying one and start modding the body.. I would at least start on the performance side of it. Looks like a sucker fish or something.. Hell I would still buy one though.
when i first saw it at the dealership getting a oil change for the altima i thought that stupid new z it looks really short and tiney, its not a Z any more, its a s2000!
But i kept thinking about it, the inside feels as roomy as the old Z to me. The head lights never once bothered me i just didnt like the idea of a tiny car but to be honest it doesnt make a difference at this point.
The exhaust note alone when i turn it on some times is like holy crap where did that come from. I only had stock exhaust on the 2005.
The handling is obviously better but then again my old z had 225 front and 235 rear, it cant compare to a 245 front and 275 rear tires.
The interior is clearly better, even my friend who just drove it said he really loves the interior he coudlnt stop touching everything all over, i thought about saying knock it off your gonna leave your "greezy" prints all over hehe.
As for power? since i had a 2005 i suspect its vastly greater but due to break in process and i am still in the process of learning manual i have not attempted any "speed" i am just content with shifting with out feeling any jumpyness or stalling, i hate stalling i feel like a retard.
Also you can hear rocks from the tires, a friend of mine said it was annoying, me personaly i couldlnt careless.
Tires can be loud on crappy roads too, but with my old z i could never talk on the cell phone due to the noise, with this one its kind of the same so i cant really complain about it.
