Got one
Well the wife just picked up our 350z yesterday, im on deployment still for another 16 days and found it on craigslist and had her go check it out. its a 2003, pikes peak white, black leather, navigation, 5 speed auto, 39,000 miles, no dents or scratches or rips in the interior. I checked out the carfax report and it checked out clean. Got it for $14,000 with new tires on it. I thought it was a pretty good deal considering for $14,000 the average car had at least 60,000 miles on it and no navigation. I’ve owned 2 ford lightnings in the past before I was married and was in the market for a 350z right before I meet my wife when I lived up by Chicago but it never happened. The second lightning I had had a built motor, kenne bell @16psi running 11.7 in the quarter with 500rwhp and 600rwtq. I miss it but had to sell it to buy my first house. I have a list of things to get already too that the wife has no idea about. I was originally going to get a G35 because we have 2 kids but she pushed me to get a 350z since we already have a family vehicle. Im glad she did though but she has no idea what kind of money I am about to spend in the next year, lol. Anyways just posting my noob thread expressing my happiness for the new ride. Im sure I’ll learn a lot on here about what to do and not do for mods. I have about 7,000 posts on svtperformance.com from when I owned my lightning’s so I know these boards are full of information and advice. Here are pics of the car, they are from the craigslist add so they are small and crappy. I will get new ones up when the wife emails me some.

All I was concerned with was the mileage on the car. it really didn’t matter, just wanted to get one with leather, navigation, and under 50,000 miles that was less then $15,000.

well first i want to get a 5/16 plenum spacer, probably a JWT intake, and a set of high flow cats. I put on a set of high flow cats on my lightning and it was probably my favorite exhuast mod i did for sound. i want to get them first and see how the car sounds with the stock catback before i change that out. i also need to get a new wiring harness for the radio to put in my boston acoustic components and a small amp. Then its going to be rims and lowering springs. dont want to go more then an inch lower then stock if i do lower it. i really like the look of the Axis Penta 19" rims but gotta do some looking around to see what else there is for a better price. im not looking to spend over $2,000 for a set of rims and tires.

i dont mind, heres two that i got sent to me while on my deployment. all my "other" pics are on my laptop. Im just glad she loves the car and didnt hate me for making her drive 4 hours to DC and then 4 hours back just to get the car.

looks like i might not have to wash the car ever since she loves it so much as long as i give her the option to either cut the grass or wash the cars while i cut the grass. kinda sad that my daughter has to wait so many years before i can even take her for a ride. thats the only thing that sucks about 2 seaters.

yea she loves cars and motorcycles. i had a 2005 gsxr 750, lowered, stretched, sprockets, power commander, exhuast, air filter, adjustable levers, and a bunch of visual mods and when the bank told me i had to get rid of some debt before they approved my mortgage she was madder then me about having to sell my bike and my lightning. she tried to talk me into getting another motorcycle now that we have the house but i told her i was sick of riding in the rain and cold weather and wanted something year round to get around in that got good gas mileage. anything better then the 11mpg i was getting in my lightning is an improvment.
