Default Pulled the trigger on my 1st Z

I found out fast that nice Z's don't last long even in a depressed economy.
It seemed that I was always one step behind on every car I inquired about.
Well, I finally found a great car that was initially overpriced, but I enticed the owner with immediate cash in hand.
It's a garaged kept base silver 2004 with 27,000 miles. The original owner added K&N cold air induction and Nissmo stainless exhaust system.
He also added TSW 18 inch wheels, drilled rotors with ceramic brake pads and aftermarket stabilizers.(red in color he forgot what he purchased)
He also had an Alpine multimedia stereo sytem with JL Audio 300 4 channel amp and 4 polk audio speakers along with xm satelite. Reciepts for radio installed by Tweeter totaled $3500.00.
The Toyo summer only tires were about worn out so I just had Nitto neo gens installed. 245 /40 front 275/40 rear all season. car handles fantastic and even better then my last corvette. I paid $15,250.00 and he also gave me the original tires and wheels that came with the car.

Anxious to learn from the experienced people who reside on this site.

Thanks, Dave

Blu Hvn and farmer thanks for the welcome.

I hope i made the right decision because I'm reading unfavorable things about 2003 and 2004 model years on this site. Tire feathering, excess oil burning and transmission problems?
Tire feathering I knew about but I thought that was easily fixed with after market upper control arms that allowed for camber adjustment.

TRANNY PROBLEMS?!?! ENGINES BURNING OIL?!?! YIKES! OUCH! I thought Nissan was known for their high quality motors and drive train.

Whats" with this crap? Someone help me out here and give me some words of comfort.

Oil burning problems are only on the '06 manual transmission models so you won't have to worry about that one!!

Enjoy the ride, safely..

I hope my Z will sell quickly.
I have the 07 MB base, 3300 miles, I am considering selling along with my 03 touring and a cargo van.

Code enforcement says I have too many cars...

Whew! that's somewhat of relief. So, 6 speed trannies are also a problem?
My brother inlaw has a 2004 auto that had plenty of transmission problems, but Nissan seemed to be able to repair it and now there are no more issues.

davidv, thanks I'll check that out. I see you are from Baltimore?
I work in Baltimore. I'm a Balto. City Firefighter.

raycs7, thanks, I'll try to keep it safe. Also, nice low milage cars priced right don't last long around here. Good luck with your sales.
