Thumbs up first Z

Just got my first 350Z. 2005, Superblack Grand Touring roadster with everything but navigation. Traded my 2000 Corvette (my 3rd Vette) because I have had enough with the general's products. My wife has a 2007 G35X sedan we bought new and I decided if it was good, the Z should be better, and it is.

At 15,800 miles the rear 18" Pilot Sport tires are completely wasted (plenty of tread on the fronts). I am trying to decide whether to buy 4 new, go with a cheaper rear set only for a season or 2 or buy the Pilot Sports for the rear. I will check the forum to get an idea as i know this is not unique to this car.

Thanks in advance for any help I get, glad to be here.

Bruce

Thanks, Daytona Blue was my first choice, but not many around here with few miles.

I got the first two coats of Zaino on-she is starting to look really great. Took me 2 hours to get the tire black off the tires, wheel wells, mud guards and body that the dealer thought was a good idea. Here are a few new pics outside after Zaino (they don't call it labor Day for nuthin)

Nice shine there.

Not a good move to put cheap tyres on the Z. Especially on the driving wheels. Anyway, enjoy!!

I decided to go with 4 new tires--Pilot sport Plus AS, I had the older run-flat version of this on my Corvette and for the type of driving I do (no track, just some spirited low speed stuff and the occasioan high speed pass) they should be just great. The are pretty good in the rain and can be driven in cold temps. i will let you all know how I like them after aseason of driving.
