My First Z
Hello!
My 2008 civic that I turbocharged got wrecked a week ago. (100% fault on other guy) I took the opportunity to upgrade. I'm very happy with the Z in the 1 day I have owned it. Here are some pics.
2006 Touring, Tuscan Sun, 30,000 miles. ***correction....Inerlagos Fire is the color***

Thanks! I'm glad to be here. It's nice having a real sportscar, rather than just a suped up family car
Is this a real good forum site? Are there better ones? I found another one, but (350zforums.com) It didn't seem to have many members.

You are in the right place. Nowhere is better. Tons of useful info, answers to just about every Z related question and generally nice people, but like in every society there are a few guys that would try to flame if you ask a question that sounds a bit stupid. Learn to use the search function because a few guys cannot cope with repeat threads. Congrats and welcome

I'll be doing a lot of reading on this site for awhile I guess. Getting up to speed on how the cars are being modified. Even though I plan on living it mostly stock for awhile. I am starting my own legal practice, so I want to keep this car reliable for now. Then turn it into a project car later.

Glad you ditched the rice for the real sportscar... :P
But yeah you will love the Z! Just don't be like that one civic driver who split his Z in half on a race cause he didn't know how to handle it...
Now you will see the girls actually stare at you when you roll by! Congrats on the purchase!

Thanks everyone!
Yeah, I think the color is hard to find. I had never seen this color till I bought it. I thought it was a custom color at first.
I would liked to have gone to the HR motor, but this was as new as I could afford. Plus I don't plan on upgrading it for a long time anyway. I wanted something fast stock that will be a fun autox car. Since that is my preferred racing. (Not a drag fan, and can't afford wheel to wheel racing yet.)
Also, I'm starting my own law firm in Naperville, Illinois, so I need a car that isn't going to require tons of extra $ or maintenance like the turbo civic I had.
Eventually I will twin turbo the car, unless I get rid of it before then. But I would really like to turn it into a project car. A friend of mine does standing mile with his crazy built z. I think that would be fun to build for at some point.

Yes it is, it was a 2006 only colour, so limited, look after it. Have a look at the Colours subforum here. Stunning colour. Get it into the sun and take some pics, do the colour justice.
