New (hopefully) Z owner
I track my Z, and have to change the diff fluid in my aftermarket NISMO unit every 500 miles or so. Even so, it uses 75% of a $20 bottle of Motul PA90, so easy-peezy.
good news I'm picking up the car and title Friday... settled on a gray (or is graphite) base 08 with 8xxx miles with black interior. Thanks for the replies guys I'll be around looking at stuff and learning about the car. Hopefully I'll be able to make it to a track day with it soon and learn the car (going from 150->300hp) and how it feels at the limit.
I don't really have any plans to mod it right now outside your basic wear items (pads, fluid) but I am planning on some 17x9 or 17x9.5 wheels and some sticky tires as a weekend/track wheel/tire set in the near future. Do alot of ppl track that set up with the stock suspension? It seems like a pretty good balance between grip and comfort from test drives and I can't wait to see what it feels like at the limit and go from there. That should set me up pretty well for a blast on track and still have a reliable DD that I won't have to worry about. Thanks again see yal around.

Maybe try a track day or autocross on the stop suspension, then see how you feel. If you're tracking etc, uprated pads, rotors and fluid would be a bonus.
It's just your basic gray color, I have no idea what the official name is. Also, I'm pretty sure I want to do a 17x9.5 +18 with 275/40/17s all around with the Enkei RPF1s as the track setup, are those wheels special order? Some vendors don't even have them listed but Enkei does have that size listed on their page.
here is my 2008 base model Z! I also found out the car has side curtain airbags, the previous owner didn't mention anything about them. Like I said, no plans to really mod the car yet outside of some good brake pads, brake fluid, and some wheels/tires. Should be a really fun daily/weekend track car for years to come!
PS. yes that is the car the Z will be replacing, a 96 240sx with a mostly stock engine and some go fast goodies for track.
