Default New Owner z33 03 Track

Hi All,

I have been on these forums for quite some time now. After about 8 months of consideration, I was finally able to find a Z that I was happy with!

Picked up my 2003 Track z33 2 days ago with 30k miles

I love it!.

I have always wanted a Z ever since I sat in one at the 2005 Motorshow. and now it's sitting infront of my garage. I still can't believe it =)

One gripe (probably a simple issue), is that I noticed a really small, very hard to hear squeak from my rear left cabin. I have not pinpointed it yet but I suspect it was due to me playing around with the spare tyre compartment.

I know this may be addressed in the DIY section, but any suggestions would be great. It's very hard to hear but the trained ear can hear it. If i put on the sound system at a small volume, its not noticeable. I hear it whenever i drive (and it does not get louder over bumps). I do not hear it as slow speeds < 10km/h

Pics will come soon.

Thanks.

New Member of the Z community =)

What do you mean by wheel swap? sorry guys i'm new to this haha..

From what I understand, these were the wheels that came with the Australian 350z Track model.

The Australian models didn't get the Ray's wheels? Did we finally get something in the US thats an upgrade compared to something available overseas for the first time ever?!?!?!

Not to take away from your car OP. Congratulations on finding a low mileage, clean '03 track! Welcome to the community!

Yup, different wheels than the US track version.
Also, are those burnt orange leather seats? If so, that's also be different. At least you got the Brembos!

Yeh its the standard track model in Aus.

incase your wondering it also comes with VDC =) haha..

yes it is burnt orange leather seats

Does anyone find shifting in the Z quite challenging? I mean, not hard in the sense that the gear stick is hard to move because its ''stuck'', but you really have to give it a good pull to get it into gear.

had more fun with it last nite.

After hearing all that, if i didn't know any better, i'd say it's a touring model with Brembos!

Yep. Bose 6 stacker stereo 7 speaker system with sub.

In Australia i think the Track has VDC as an extra, whilst the Touring, only came with TCS.

Only 2 versions available here. Touring and Track. and the main differences are basically the brembo brakes, 18 inch alloys (Touring came with 17" ), and the VDC (Touring only TCS). Track also came with a rear spoiler.

Must be alot different to you guys since you can even get z's with no leather seats in the States. Bigger range of options for those who arent looking for the extras.

Both Touring and Track here get leather seats standard.
