Default Hello making the deal tomorrow

I have been doing a lot of research the last few weeks, im happy to be a member of this forum

looks like i will be getting rid of my large GM suv for a 2005 grand touring conv
it has the 6 speed with brembo brakes

the only issue is that the top will not fold all the way down, maybe outside temp issue?

but how is the ride with the top down? i remember riding in a 90 something mustang and with the top down the wind was not enjoyable, now to compare, when i was in a 90 vette, you had very little wind feel, does that make sense what im trying to explain?

any info, or what else i should look for would be greatly appreciated
thanks!!

Can't help with advice on a convertible Z, but good luck on your purchase and congrats!

Look in the convert forum - probably one of the motors for the top - ours has the same issue.

It's not THAT loud with the top down - that's why you have the Bose. We love our Brembos, too!

thats great that there are no issues with the top, what i also was trying to find out with the top down, is it a windstorm, or is the aerodynamics nice, and you feel very little wind?
i will also check the other forum
yes the brembo brakes are nice!

If you don't enjoy the wind in your hair maybe the roadster is not for you.

i have two verts an 04 and a 08 04 has no issues wirth the roof the 08 it seems when its cold sometimes gets stuck right before its done folding in the hatch. im thinking it could be the cold regardless im gonna try and get my top replaced come spring time as i dont want any problems in the future.... tops are expensive to replace so do you still have warranty?

rergarding the wind i dont find it bad at all i can hold a coversation no problem cruising at highway speeds, the wind definetly blows in your hair maybe cause me and my girl are both over 6 feet tall.

you should really test drive the car and see what its like... or will the roof not fold down so thats why u cant test it with the roof down ?

anyways i love the raodster!

The cold temps can definitely affect the top closing. The material isn't as elastic and doesn't fold as easily. Going from memory, I believe it states in the owners manual not to lower the top below 40 degrees F.

Does your lady do runway? That's a tall order!

Roadsters rule (though my wife is a shorty at 5'2").

thank you all! it has a 3, 3 bumber to bumber warranty, yes i could not drive it with the top down because it would not close, but i did find a tsb about replacing the straps for this issue?
yes i love the look of the roadster! i just remember riding in a 90 something mustang and it was to noisey with the top down, and thats what i dont want, the 350 looks like a missle so i think it will not have this issue, because i love having the top down!!

well the dealer sold the car from under me, i thought we had an agreement, but at least i know what kind of buisness they do. but now i found a 2006 350 with less miles and it looks like it has more features, its a grand touring, brembo brake etc.. so i guess my new question is what is newer or changed on a 2006? going to look at it next week?
thanks!!!

The '06 has the Rev Up engine with a little more power. Some have had oil consuption issues with that engine though. The interior is a little different. LED tails, different headlights. Those are not really worth buying the car over the '05.

But the Grand Touring package is! That is what I have and love it. The wheels and Brembos alone **** on the lower models. Do it!

Clarification here. Only the "06 with manual transmissions have the rev up.
