Default New owner in the Detroit area (08 coupe)

Hello everyone

I picked up my first Z last Friday (08 Coupe, Magnetic black, 6 speed with 14k on the clock) and I couldn't be happier with it

I've already swapped the head unit out, and I've got an appointment to get the windows tinted next week. I'm not planning on any MAJOR mods as of yet (this is a DD and still under warranty), but the research has begun... I'm a former Fbody guy (99 Camaro SS) so my knowledge of the VQ35 is pretty limited. If there are any tips/tricks/things I should be aware of please inform a brother

Please forgive the bad crackberry pic... I haven't had an opportunity to take any proper ones yet.

-Travis

Congrats on the Z. There's an entire section devoted to the HR motor in our 07's and 08's:

Detroit "area" (thank god )

And I agree with you... The roads here are a friggin disgrace. Then again what can you expect from a state that's broke?

I expect them to send all those lazy mother fkers that have 6 kids, get child/walfare support and just sit at home smoke dope, to work to fix those roads. But then again, we can all dream right.
