Default new Z owner from WA

Hello all my fellow Z owners. I just picked up my first 350Z which is an 03. Plan is to daily it and take it to quite a few drift events. A little about me, I am 30 yrs old with 4 kids and a wife. I've been drifting with a s13 coupe for some time now and figured I would drive a mans car now. I have a question regarding turning off the SRS system at the track so if I end up tapping the wall or hitting a big barrel cone, the airbags won't deploy. I have goggled and searched on here but everything I have read was on how to disable the passenger side airbag only.

The s13 doing its job

The new edtion

Congrats on your Z. Im not sure if there is a simple way to turn it off. You could have someone tune your ECU to make it turn off but im not sure what it would do to the other functions of your car.

Maybe you should just buy an aftermarket steering wheel and switch it out before you hit the track, that way there will be no airbag to deploy.

if you unplug one of your sensors, the whole system goes off.

Thank you all for making me feel welcome. I think I figured it out, if I take the SRS fuse out it should disable all the airbags so if something was to happen that would take out the bumper, hood and fenders I don't destroy my whole interior when they deploy.

I plan to keep the s13 since there is one local track that allows tamdeming without a cage and usually there are 8-10 cars out in a 10min session.

The forum threads are weird, why is the first post at the bottem and the lastest post is at the top? and the first page is the last postings and the last page is the first postings? Out of all the other fourms I have visited, MY350Z.com is laid out weird

I'll try not to crash this one, lol. Thanks Boomer, It's going to be totally different drifting the Z since I am use to the single cam 240.

So I did some calculations last night and holy chit it's going to be expensive, looking like 7K in wheels/tires,coils and diff. OUCH
