Default Just Bought My Z!!!

Finally after months and months of searching Cars.com, This forum, and other useless auto pages I have found the one for me! I purchased a 2007 from World Imports in Jacksonville. So Happy with it so far.... Especially coming from a lifted F-150... BIG CHANGE!

Can't wait to dig into some mods!

Tint goes on tomorrow hopefully!

What do you all think should be next... I know I want to change the CAI and exhaust very soon!

Any suggestions?

Looking for good sound... It's my daily driver so I dont need major gains or performance changes...

THANKS!

If the car is stock now, I'd vote for leaving the engine that way for a DD. You won't need any more power than it's already got, and you'll avoid the problems that tend to crop up when you add mods. I think Nissan got the balance between sounding good and being too noisy just right on the 350Z. They dropped the ball on the 370Z, though. It's too noisy on the inside, and it doesn't sound good on the outside.

Whatever you do appearance-wise, don't lower the car.

Nice car, BTW. It looks just like mine.

I would never do that! I think the height is perfect how it is!

The only thing I am hoping to do to the outside is getting some practical, clean looking rims, or powder coat my stock ones black.

After that its door handles black, and that's it!

However I agree the stock exhaust sounds good, I just wish it had more *****... Wouldn't mind it to be louder at all!

I have the same year and same color. If its your DD the only thing I would change may be the exhaust. The intake on the 07+ is more then fine unless you are going all out N/A. If it is a base get a LSD. I have a base and even if it is your DD, your still going to want to give it some gas every now and then. The open diff just sucks the fun out of the car.

Try Greddy. I'm looking at a used HKS near me only because of an accident, my z is now my daily driver, so I don't want to spend a lot either. If its a true dual system, you really can't go wrong performance wise. Unless you plan on spending a lot and pushing out a ton of hp, exhaust will never hold your performance back. The most expensive system will still only give you 5whp unless you are FI or serious N/A. The rest is just preference. Make sure you like how it sounds.

black out your front reflecters w/ a can of vht night shade. you can pick it up at an auto parts store for less than 5 bucks, plus it will flow with your tint. A shorty atenna would help too, apparently a dodge advenger atenna fits nicely for 20 bucks.

happy modding!

Congrats and welcome. IMO Borla, Bassani, and Nismo all have a very nice sound to them and won't break your bank. Checkout the Marketplace for some used ones. Be careful though, once you start modding it can be a slippery slope

I would recommend the NISMO exhaust. I also have an otherwise stock '07 and I love the NISMO S Tune system - it basically sounds like the stock exhaust, just a little louder. There is no droning or raspiness, and I have a roadster, so I'd know. IMHO, it's how the cars should have come from the factory...

Welcome to the forum. Nice 2007. Almost difficult these days to find one that's fairly standard so you can only hope it hasn't been messed with, so you can mod to taste.
