Default After a long nine year wait, I've finally bought my Z

Way back in spring of 2002, I put $2000 down for a pre-order on an '03 Enthusiast. The initial delivery date at that point was slated for July. The lease I had at the time was expiring in August, so the timing was perfect. Then Nissan pushed the release date back. I had to cancel my pre-order and ended up buying an Acura RSX Type-S instead.

Getting a Z after that wasn't feasible for me financially. Only in the last six months did I start eying used 350's again with the thought of finally getting one.

Two weeks ago, I left my wife. Someone told me I should get myself something "man-awesome." The first thing that popped into my head was Z!

So last night, I bought the beauty pictured below. It's an '07 with just shy of 41k miles, and a few upgrades.
  • Tanabe Concept G Cat Back Exhaust with Invidia test pipes (a bit too loud for my taste. probably gonna put the stock cats back on, might go with high flows though.)
  • Stillen Long Tube Dual Intake
  • Buddy Club Racing Spec Coilovers
  • 20" Staggered Rims (planning to sell these and put 18's on)
  • In dash DVD/CD/FM Receiver

Needless to say, I'm ecstatic to finally be in the Z owner family.

Welcome and congratulations. Good choice on wanting to go with 18's. 20's are a little too big for my taste.

See you around.

I've never been a fan of 20's but they look good on your car. Any sound clips of your exhaust? Welcome to the forum.

No recordings yet. Waiting for Fed Ex to deliver the check from the bank, so I'll pick it up tomorrow.

Congrats and welcome to the forum! I like the color! Also, you should try getting 19's, but that's just my opinion and good luck!

  • Those headlights and bumper were offered '06+
  • The hood was offered '07+
  • Daytona Blue was only offered 03-05 IIRC.

That means basically the entire front end has been replaced which is a little troubling. It's nice that its updated, I just hope that didn't come due to an accident. Did you check it's history?

edit - I see you said it's an '07 and I checked and I was actually wrong, they still had that color for that model year. Crisis diverted! Not sure what I was thinking...

He gave me the VIN before I purchased it and told me to feel free to run it through Carfax. I didn't do Carfax, but my insurance company/bank ran the VIN and it came back as an '07. Thanks for the possible heads up though...lol
